John R. Neill - All through the summer months they were much together - (From Century Magazine; December, 1920)
This serene and tranquil illustration, depicting a romantic couple at the seashore, was created by American illustrator John R. Neill for Sandra Alexander's short story, "His Absolute Safety," which was published in the December, 1920 issue of Century Magazine. It was lovingly scanned at 1200 ppi from the original artifact, and meticulously restored to eliminate age-related imperfections such as fading, scratches, etc.
Enthusiasts of L. Frank Baum's Oz books will especially appreciate this rarely-seen drawing by the foremost illustrator of the Oz series.
