Edward Penfield - Collier's Magazine Cover (May 2, 1903)
This beautifully executed magazine cover, depicting architecture from the St. Louis Exposition, was created by American poster artist Edward Penfield for the May 2, 1903 issue of Collier's Magazine. The text block (located just below the date) reads as follows: "Containing many photographs of the St. Louis Exposition buildings, and an article by President David R. Francis." It was lovingly scanned at 600 ppi from the original artifact, and meticulously restored to eliminate age-related imperfections such as fading, scratches, etc.
