Ralph Barton (1891-1931)

Ralph Barton (1891-1931) was a popular Jazz-age illustrator and caricaturist whose style came to be almost synonymous with the era. He is best known for his caricatures of public figures. Although he was quite successful, he was plagued by mental illness for his entire life, and he eventually committed suicide in 1931. Soon after, his work fell into near obscurity.
